Solve:
  1. 3x = -9
  2. x + 5 = -242
  3. 2x - 9 = 31
  4. 7x + 14 = 28
Use distribution to simplify:   (Be careful about the negatives!)
  1. 4 ( x - 2)
  2. -2 ( x + 5)
  3. 17 (1 + x)
  4. -5(2x + 4)
  5. 3x (14 - 8)
  6. -2 ( 17 - x)     <---- extra tricky negative action here
Simplify then Solve:
  1. 3 ( x +2 ) = 21
  2. -4 ( 2x + 8) = 48
  3. 16 ( x - 1) = 64
